Strong wind and wet snow will come to Yamal on Sunday

Heavy wind, rain and wet snow are expected in Yamal on October 11. As reported in “Yamalspas” with reference to the Yamalo-Nenets CGMS, the maximum gusts will reach 22 meters per second. At night, with clarification, the temperature will drop to -7 degrees.

The southeast wind with the transition to the southwest will blow at a speed of 8-13 meters per second. In Nadym, Purovsky, Tazov and Krasnoselkup districts, gusts will reach 15-20, in Yamal and in the north-west of Tazovsky - 17-22 meters per second.

At night it is expected from -2 to +3 degrees, in the afternoon - from +4 to +9. There will be small, sometimes moderate rain and wet snow. In the east of the district, there is mainly no rain at night.

In early October, the water in Ob in places warmed up to +12 degrees, which is almost five degrees above normal. Specialists of the Yamalo-Nenets Hydrometeorological Center on October 7 reported that ice was expected in the first or second decade of November.
