Belarus is preparing for the international contest Miss Global – 2026, the final of which will be held in Bangkok on October 11. The country will be presented by the second vice-miss of the Miss Belarus 2025 contest Tatiana Marchuk. What images were prepared for the participant, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency learned.
Miss Global is an international beauty contest held since 2013. It can be attended by girls from 18 to 35 years. Last year Belarus was represented by Daria Goncharevich, she entered the top ten most beautiful contestants. In 2026, Marchuk will appear on the international stage, and the team began preparing for her performance long before the trip to Thailand.
Special attention to the wardrobe. For the international scene, there are no random details: the color of the dress, the texture of the fabric, jewelry and even makeup should work for a holistic image. The organizers outlined in advance the requirements for the wardrobe of the participants, which the team of the Belarusian beauty had to take into account.
The work was very busy and lasted several months. Tatiana Marchuk passed master classes in fashion show, acting, basics of style, makeup, hairdressing and other areas, shared the director - artistic director of the National School of Beauty Bozhena Eremich. The organizers outlined some requirements in advance: how many cocktail dresses should be, what colors should be presented. Now all the outfits are collected, shoes and accessories are selected, makeup and hairstyle are thought out for each image.

The first was the evening dress. The white dress is decorated with crystals and decorative elements, and its silhouette is complemented by a long plume. Special attention is drawn to the sleeves in the form of flowers: their composition seems to continue further, passing into the design of the plume.
- When you create such an outfit, you understand that you have a special task: you need to emphasize the beauty of the girl and at the same time create an image that will work on the big international stage. Therefore, we relied on pure lines, geometric shapes and a certain status. And already on top of this strict base added shine, crystals and decorative elements. The contrast turned out: on the one hand - clarity and conciseness, on the other - a dazzling radiance, - said the author of the image designer Yegor Kirichenko.

For the competition scene, it is important how the outfit looks not only under bright spots, but also in moments when the light changes. Therefore, the crystals in this dress are selected so as to preserve the effect of radiance in different lighting.
- This dress has a little secret. When bright light is directed at it, the crystals begin to play beautifully and shimmer. But the most interesting thing happens in dimmed lighting. Thanks to the special effect, the individual elements continue to reflect light and the dress still shines. It does not lose expressiveness even in soft lighting, explained the designer.
But if the evening dress speaks primarily in the language of modern fashion, then the national costume is a kind of story about Belarus, told through the image. For him, a white and blue range was chosen, and the main accent was cornflowers and storks, which were placed on the headdress.

The sketch and the general concept of the costume was developed by designer Tatiana Kovaleva. When creating, she turned to the images of Belarusian nature, but tried to present them in a modern stage reading.
- I wanted to keep the Belarusian motifs recognizable, but not copy the traditional costume literally. Therefore, the source of inspiration was nature - cornflowers, storks, images and symbols familiar from childhood. We tried to combine them with a modern silhouette so that the costume looked relevant on the international stage and at the same time conveyed the character of our country.
Of particular importance in the costume are ornaments. A member of the Belarusian Union of Folk Artists Lilia Gorbacheva worked on them. The drawings are based on traditional Belarusian motifs, which are found in ethnographic materials, embroidery on shirts, ruins and other objects of folk art. They reflect images of the earth, the sun and the connections of generations.

- For us, it was important not just to decorate the costume with beautiful patterns. Each element has its own meaning. Through ornaments, we wanted to connect the modern image with the cultural heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation. Therefore, the girl in this costume becomes a kind of link between modern Belarus and its traditions, the expert added. It is not by chance that storks were chosen, decorated with a headdress. They symbolize purity, good intentions and peace, as well as hard work of the Belarusian people.
The technique of execution deserves special attention. For the costume, embroidery on the grid was used - a technique known in traditional Belarusian decorative art. However, the masters adapted it for a modern stage image. There are about 10,000 pieces in the costume.
- The team spent less than three weeks creating a national image. The main idea and sketch were ready in advance, but the implementation required a significant amount of manual work. On a finished suit, individual elements may seem small and light, but there are thousands of them. Everyone had to be placed correctly so that the composition looked whole, Gorbachev said.
Now that the images are ready and the final preparations are completed, the next stage begins for T. Marchuk – a trip to Thailand and a performance on the international stage. At the same time, she sees the competition itself not only as an opportunity to compete for the title.

- If I say I'm only going after the crown, it'll be superficial. For me, the most important task is to adequately represent our beautiful country. Of course, if I can get the crown, it will be a big bonus for me. But I really want another thing: that other girls and people from different countries learn more about Belarus. And, of course, I am interested to get acquainted with the participants, to learn their culture, because the competition will bring together girls from all over the world, said Tatiana.
The Belarusian beauty will go to Thailand on September 28. The final of the international contest Miss Global – 2026 will be held on October 11.
