How much does rest in sanatoriums cost, and what are the main advantages of health resorts in Belarus

The increased demand for the services of Belarusian health resorts was traditionally recorded in the summer months. This was told to journalists on October 6 by the director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium and Resort Treatment of the Population Gennady Bolbatovsky, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

According to him, at this time, the average cost of staying one adult per day in a standard double room was about 155 rubles. This price includes three meals, accommodation and a full course of treatment in accordance with approved medical standards. In the fourth quarter of 2026, a slight decrease in prices is expected due to a seasonal decline in demand and the provision of discounts.

- The traditional and quite predictable increase in the cost of vouchers will occur during the New Year and Christmas holidays, Bolbatovsky said. According to our data, during this period the average price will be about 170 rubles per day.

In addition, the expert explained why 15 days is the optimal period of stay in the health resort on a standard ticket.

- This period was deduced in the course of a balanced analysis together with doctors, said Bolbatovsky. There are long-term standards of treatment that we must follow. Since today almost all medical facilities in sanatoriums have switched to a seven-day working week and provide treatments without days off, you can completely calmly perform all the necessary standard of treatment in 15 days.

The head of the institution also noted the growth of awareness among those who buy vouchers themselves for cash. Previously, the average duration of such trips was about 10 days. However, during this time, due to the physiological characteristics of the body, it is impossible to get a full medical return from the procedures.

- We see that from year to year the duration of stay on permits in free implementation increases at least for a day, the speaker said. From the point of view of rational spending of money, it is advisable for the consumer to come for this period in order to achieve maximum medical effect.

The main competitive advantage of domestic health resorts in the international market is the effective use of the unique natural potential of Belarus. The bet is made on climate therapy, sapropel mud and mineral water.

- More than 90 wells with mineral water successfully operate on the territory of Belarusian sanatoriums, Bolbatovsky added.
