Slippery Kola roads helped Murmanskavtodor to receive a warning

The state regional state institution for the management of roads of the Murmansk region received a warning from the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation “Kolsky”. This follows from the information on the website of the Prosecutor General.

So, on October 9, 2026, the department received information about the complication of the road situation due to the weather. A decrease in temperature and precipitation was expected, because of which winter slipperiness could form on the roads of regional importance in the Kola district. According to GOST, the roadway should be cleared of snow and ice. At the same time, during snowfall or blizzards before the end of cleaning services, loose snow of a certain thickness is allowed, depending on the category of road.

The institution was offered to control the maintenance of roads in the Kola district in accordance with the requirements of GOST.

Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that wet snow and cooling are expected in the Murmansk region on October 10.
