“We could add, but the result should be preserved”: the Chairman of the Minsk district executive committee about the victory on harvest

All the farms of the Minsk region were able to add and find reserves, and this result must be preserved. This was stated by the Chairman of the Minsk district Executive Committee Denis Kolesen, writes BelTA.

Minsk district became the winner among the regions of the region for achieving high rates for harvesting grain and leguminous crops in 2026 and was noted at the Dazhynki festival-fair in Dzerzhinsk. He headed the three leaders, where the second place was taken by Nesvizh district, the third - Slutsky. The Chairman of the Minsk District Executive Committee stressed that he was proud of the people who made every effort to achieve such a high result.

- This is the high professionalism of specialists, and the consciousness of everyone in their workplace, and great diligence. Therefore, I would like to address everyone with words of gratitude, including neighboring areas, which helped to remove the crop and to carry out the harvest in the best possible time, said Denis Kolesen.

This year, the Minsk region increased the gross grain harvest, which amounted to 148 thousand tons (plus to the level of 2025 - 5 thousand tons).

- Last year, we received a record grain yield of 63.7 c/ha for our region, which was increased to 65.1 c/ha. Leaders were such farms as "Gastell" with a grain yield of 112 c / ha, "Ostroshitsky Gorodok" - more than 90 c / ha. These farms were also among the winners of regional competitions. In my opinion, all farms in our area are leaders, as they contributed to the formation of a significant loaf year. Everyone was able to add, find reserves, and we must preserve this result, Kolesen said.

There is an active sowing campaign now.

- We are on the equator of sowing, half the area is sown. There is everything to ensure that the sowing was technologically and in the optimal time. The level of fertilizer reserves exceeds last year's volumes, so the groundwork for the harvest of 2027 will be made serious, Denis Kolesen is sure.

Speaking about the prospects for the development of the agro-industrial complex and new areas, he noted that at present a lot of efforts are aimed at implementing a project to increase the production of closed-ground vegetables.

- The project is being implemented in the Zhdanovichi agricultural plant, the implementation of the same project in DorOrs was started, next year the Minsk Vegetable Factory takes over the baton. In the future, we will get serious production volumes, and with them higher economic efficiency, said Denis Kolesen.

On behalf of the President, the Minsk district is expanding the area for gardens, which should in the future stretch along the Moscow Ring Road.

- We are fulfilling this order of the head of state, three plots have already been selected, which are allocated to farms specializing in horticulture. I think we will soon see their laying, and therefore the groundwork for the subsequent harvest, the chairman of the Minsk district executive committee said.

He also shared that Dazhynki for farmers is not only a time for summing up the results, but also an occasion to rejoice for the results of the work of others, an opportunity to feel the unity of a large team of farmers who feed the country and do their job with the building and with the soul.

- Last year, the festival hosted Zaslavl, where a lot of work has been done to update. In this we were happy for Dzerzhinsk, it became more beautiful, more convenient for its residents, who in the future will appreciate the contribution to the development of the city. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. Therefore, Dazhynki is not just a harvest festival, it is a holiday of the whole region, which annually becomes better and more beautiful, Denis Kolesen summed up.
