During a working visit to the Smolensk region, Deputy Minister of Health of Russia Andrei Nikolayevich Plutnitsky discussed with Governor Vasily Anokhin the development of the ambulance service and strengthening the human resources potential. The governor stressed that the service has undergone a major transformation in recent years.
Key areas of work:
Increasing the salaries of ambulance drivers and the introduction of allowances for the entire brigade.
Increasing the number of target places for future doctors and working together with Smolensk State Medical University to attract graduates to work in teams (strategic personnel reserve).
Implementation of automatic survey of patients after a call: the robot calls them and clarifies the level of satisfaction with the quality of care.
Improvement of resuscitation procedures: the construction of a new reception department of the Smolensk Regional Clinical Hospital within the framework of the national project “Long and active life” is being completed, and phased repair of the resuscitation departments of the CRC is planned.
Plutnitsky noted the importance of interaction of reception departments, ambulance service and disaster medicine for more effective treatment of residents of the region. The federal government is ready to support these initiatives.
