Smolensk region became the winner of the All-Russian contest of the program "More than a journey" for 2027 in the nomination "Discovery Time" (held within the framework of the national project "Youth and children" among 47 regions)
The Smolensk region became the winner of the All-Russian contest of the program “More than a journey” for 2027 in the nomination “Discovery Time” (held within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children” among 47 regions). Along with Smolensk, the best in the category were the Vladimir, Kaluga, Orel and Ivanovo regions.
In 2027, the region will host thematic campaigns “Time of Discoveries”, timed to memorable and state dates, aimed at studying the history, culture and nature of the region.
Governor Vasily Anokhin noted that the Smolensk region is actively developing infrastructure within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality", and by the end of 2025 took the 4th place in Russia in terms of growth rates of tourist flow, and is ready to welcome participants of hiking programs.
