Smolensk region became one of the pioneers of the federal project “School TV”. The Ministry of Education of Russia is launching a pilot implementation of this system in 15 regions of the country. Smolensk region joined the initiative along with Moscow, Kaliningrad, Voronezh, Tula and other regions, as well as the Republic of Mordovia. The launch in the region is scheduled until October 15.
The main goal is to give children useful and informative information during changes.
Videos will go on screens in schools without sound, so as not to interfere with rest.
Videos will be short (up to a minute) and contain a minimum of text.
The broadcast will show videos about security, science, culture, sports, historical memory, as well as announcements of competitions and Olympiads.
This format will help students switch after class, relax and at the same time learn interesting content. The materials are designed for children from 6 years old and will be understood by any age category.
By the end of 2026, the project is planned to be launched in at least 30 regions, where about 6.5 thousand schools have the necessary infrastructure. From 2027, school television will be available in all schools.
Governor Vasily Anokhin has repeatedly stressed that the region pays special attention to the development of the educational environment. Participation in this federal project is another step towards the introduction of modern technologies in Smolensk schools.
