Smolensk region entered the top 10 regions of Russia on digital transformation

Smolensk region was among the leaders of the federal rating of digital transformation. According to the results of the III quarter, the region took the 2nd place among the subjects of the Central Federal District and the 6th place among all regions of Russia. This was reported by Governor Vasily Anokhin.

The results of the rating, which assessed the work of the regions by almost 50 indicators, were announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko on the eve of the All-Russian Forum “Digital Solutions”, which was held from 6 to 10 October at the National Center “Russia” in Moscow. The criteria assessed included the provision of public services in electronic form, the introduction of artificial intelligence, information security, import substitution, support for the IT industry and the development of digital infrastructure.

During the year, the Smolensk region made a powerful breakthrough, rising from 20th to 6th place in the federal list. The Governor noted that this is the result of systematic work within the framework of the national goal “Digital Transformation” and the national project “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State”, defined by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Digital systems are implemented in almost every sphere of life in the region. More than 2,600 federal and regional services are available for residents of the Smolensk region on the single portal of public services. Thanks to this, many household issues, for which you had to visit institutions and stand in lines, are now solved in minutes. The main result of this work is the convenience and comfort of residents.
