Smolensk teachers presented the region at the III All-Russian meeting of geography teachers

From October 5 to 8, 2026, the III All-Russian Meeting of Geography Teachers was held in the Sverdlovsk Region under the title “Rediscover Russia with Geography Teachers!” The event was aimed at developing the professional community, exchanging modern pedagogical practices and increasing the prestige of the geography teacher profession.

The program of the rally included field workshops, methodical workshops, competitive formats and acquaintance with the natural and industrial space of the Middle Urals. Within the framework of the event, more than 50 regional methods were analyzed, more than 10 joint methodological products were created, and the All-Russian scientific and practical conference “Modern vectors of geographical culture development” was held. The meeting became a key platform for training teachers to work with new methods and expanding their participation in the projects of the Russian Geographical Society.

The Smolensk region at the event was represented by a team of three teachers who passed a strict selection:

Evgeny Vladimirovich Chernov – Education Center No. 1 “Academy of Childhood”;

Anastasia Yurievna Danilova – secondary school No. 33 in Smolensk;

Julia Vyacheslavovna Lobacheva - Multidisciplinary Lyceum of Smolensk.
