Smolensk schoolchildren will be taught to create 3D objects using artificial intelligence

From September 28 to October 25, 2026 in the Smolensk region, as well as throughout Russia, the first in the new season all-Russian educational project “Lesson of the figure” will be held. The theme of the lesson is “Artificial intelligence: 3D technologies”. The project is implemented by ANO “Digital Economy” together with the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of Education of Russia within the framework of the national project “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State”, and its partner is the Charity Fund “Contribution to the Future” with the expert support of Sber and the Sber AI team.

Participation in the project is open to schoolchildren, teachers and parents on the website lesson.rf. As part of the lesson, children will get acquainted with 3D printing, master the basic principles of working with digital objects and learn how AI accelerates the modeling process. These skills will help them in creating robotics parts, layouts for visualizing ideas and other projects of their own. The lesson materials are adapted for three age groups (1-4, 5-9 and 10-11 classes) with different levels of complexity. For teachers, methodological recommendations and lesson scenarios have been prepared, as well as practical tasks that can be performed offline without access to gaming simulators. The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation recommends using these materials in computer science, social studies and extracurricular work.

Governor Vasily Anokhin stressed that participation in the “Digital Lesson” is an affordable way to introduce children to the professions of the future and help them take the first steps in mastering promising technologies. The Smolensk region actively supports initiatives to develop digital skills in children and adolescents.
