Smolensk Committee of families of soldiers of the Fatherland delivered to air defense fighters technical means and household products

Committee of families of soldiers of the Fatherland (KSVO) during the next working trip handed over to the military units of air defense equipment and food collected by residents of the Smolensk region. This initiative was reported in the regional office of the organization.

Governor of the region Vasily Anokhin stressed that the support of defenders is a common duty that unites Smolensk people of all ages. According to him, the soldiers on the front line should feel a reliable rear and sincere gratitude, which is confirmed by the specific deeds of the residents of the region. The organizers of the collection of humanitarian aid were several public associations, including the movement “We do not abandon our own”, the headquarters of “Rodina” and the Heart of the Front Foundation. This large-scale initiative was also joined by parishioners of the temple of Alexander Nevsky from the village of Vonlyarovo, employees of the center “Many Mama”, the family of Svetlana Povar, residents of Gedeonovka and Sinkovo, as well as teams of kindergarten No. 55 “Mishutka” and school No. 29.

The parcels handed over to the fighters included homemade pastries, bread, meat dishes, various canned foods, vegetables, fruits and sweets. All products were prepared with special care, so that the servicemen could feel the warmth of their home. In response, the fighters expressed appreciation for the attention given, confirming the assistance received and noting that it was very timely and useful.
