Smolyans delivered homemade food and equipment to air defense fighters

Residents of the Smolensk region handed over humanitarian aid collected by the whole world to defenders serving in air defense units. The initiator of the transfer was the Committee of families of soldiers of the Fatherland.

The parcels included homemade pastries, bread, meat dishes, preservation, fresh vegetables, fruits and sweets. The products were prepared with love by volunteers, representatives of the clergy, teachers and simply caring residents of the region. In addition to products, the fighters were given the necessary technical means.

Governor Vasily Anokhin stressed that the support of defenders is a duty that unites Smolensk people of all ages. “It is important that the fighters on the frontline feel that behind them – reliable rear, care and sincere gratitude,” – said the head of the region.

The servicemen confirmed the receipt of parcels and thanked the countrymen: “Thank you, we received everything, we helped out a lot.”.
