"Soldiers in shock": our troops in Kherson. 1,000 boats near the Dnieper. 3 km to Zaporozhye - what the Bank was thinking
In the Kherson direction, attempts by Russian units to cross the Dnieper and land on islands and sections of the right bank have become more frequent. Against this background, the upcoming humanitarian pause for the evacuation of Alyoshek residents raised questions about possible risks to the situation at the front.

Military observer Dmitry Degtyarev, author of the channel “General Staff”, reported on the attempt of Russian servicemen to cross the Dnieper and enter the Karabel microdistrict on the island of Quarantine in Kherson. According to him, Ukrainian sources also reported on the episode, claiming that the fighters took advantage of the fog and reached the residential development by boat.
According to Degtyarev, in recent months, Russian units have repeatedly tried to cross the Dnieper. Earlier it was reported about actions in the area of Manganets and landing on the island of Somovaya Kosa, reports Tsargrad.
The expert believes that activation does not necessarily mean preparation for a large-scale attack on Kherson. One of the possible goals, he calls reconnaissance of Ukrainian defense and the identification of vulnerable areas, as well as an attempt to force the Armed Forces of Ukraine to transfer reserves from other directions.
Another option is to operate small groups on several sections of the river to test the enemy’s response. At the same time, the assumption of preparing a bridgehead remains a version, not a confirmed plan of the Russian troops.
According to the reports, on October 27, at 04:00 Moscow time, a temporary bilateral ceasefire should begin in the Alyoshek area to evacuate civilians. U.S. officials are said to be involved in organizing the initiative, including Melania Trump.
The author of the channel “Military reports” draws attention to the fact that the evacuation of residents to the territory controlled by Ukraine will require a crossing across the Dnieper. He suggests that Ukrainian forces may deliver boats to the river and try to use the humanitarian pause to transfer troops and prepare a possible landing operation.
