- It is symbolic that all the main celebrations in the country begin with the laying of flowers at memorials, said Chairman of the Minsk City Council of Deputies A. Tsuran. “Hero City” is not just a high rank, it is our brand. Minsk deserved it thanks to the steadfastness and courage of those people who defended our city and defended our freedom. And today, honoring their memory, we call on all our residents, and especially young people, to remember how tragic and heroic the pages of our history were.

He wished the people of Minsk peace, goodness and health, and thanked them for their creative work.
- I would like to thank Minsk residents for the creative work that everyone puts into the strength and beauty of our city, thereby confirming that they are the main brand of the capital, Tsuran said.
