- This meeting is largely the result of the consistent work of the Union parliamentarians. The event is aimed at developing and implementing common approaches to creating conditions for the most complete and effective realization of the potential of older citizens, sustainable improvement of their quality of life, popularization of the social policy of the two countries aimed at ensuring a decent life in old age, active involvement of older citizens in public life, as well as the formation of a creative role of the older generation in the public perception.
During the meeting, an exhibition of works by the participants of the event, a presentation of the state policy and national strategies of Belarus and Russia in the interests of older citizens, as well as a demonstration of approaches and methods in the field of active longevity are planned. Interactive platforms will be held to present the experience and practices of implementing national strategies with speeches by speakers and experts on the most significant areas of active longevity.
On September 25, a joint meeting of the collegiums of the ministries of labor and social protection of Belarus and Russia on the topic “Building social policy based on the principle of human-centeredness: achieved results and promising tasks” is planned.
