Rescuers removed from the silt two injured swans

In the Volosov district of the Leningrad region, employees of the service “Koshkispas” conducted an operation to rescue two swans. A pair of spike swans brought out six chicks, but three died and the two remaining could not fly. This is reported by IVBG.ru.

Seven rescuers came to the rescue. The operation took place on ponds in the village of Kalozhitsy and the village of Khotynitsy. To capture the birds used saps, motorboat and nets. The first chick was found with a serious injury to the left wing. He was captured and caught after several attempts. The second was long sought among coastal vegetation and silt. Rescuers surrounded the bird and brought it to shore.

Catching was complicated by shallow water, thick vegetation and a layer of silt. Adult swans kept nearby, so you had to act very carefully. Both swans were taken to the Sirin center, where they will receive the necessary assistance.
