Housing and communal services specialists told what markings with paint on trees in the form of points and lines mean

Metropolitan specialists examine green spaces and apply special marks on the trunks with orange paint. As sb.by explained in Minsk Urban Housing, these designations help to accurately determine the scope of work and plan their implementation in advance.

As told in the association, the point on the barrel means that pruning is planned. The line around the trunk indicates the need to remove the tree.

- After pruning, all wounds on trees and shrubs with a diameter of more than two centimeters are immediately treated - smeared with garden brew or painted with oil paint on natural olive oil, the experts informed. In coniferous trees, which abundantly produce resin, the places of cuts are not additionally smeared.

The association added that the color of the protective coating can be different, a specific shade of paint is not set by the rules. In practice, burgundy or green are more often used. Nearly 5,000 trees will be pruned in Minsk courtyards by the end of the year
