According to the survey, 29% watch videos about products and services before buying often, another 31% do it occasionally, 20% do it rarely, and 21% never. It is noted that most often the video helps when you want to see the product “live”, as reported by 34% of respondents, or compare several options – this was preferable for 32% of respondents. For 18% of respondents, videos are important if the purchase is expensive or meaningful, and 16% choose videos when there is no time to read long descriptions and instructions.
According to the results of the survey, customer reviews in video format are most trusted - 37% of respondents chose them. Respondents also identified analysis lasting from 5 to 15 minutes and short videos and clips lasting up to 1 minute. In addition, it was found that most of the video about a product or service respondents trust real buyers – 65%, experts and authors trust 16%, and the official brand or store – 14% of respondents.
The credibility of the video is most affected by the presence of real feedback and comments on the case (31%), as well as the importance of demonstrating the product in the case (19%) and honest pros and cons (19%). The most comfortable duration of video advertising respondents called up to 10 seconds, as told by 50% of respondents. Another 18% found the format convenient for 10-20 seconds, while 19% are ready to watch ads for 1-3 minutes if it is a review or instruction.
