Started the construction of a new medical building of the CRB in Verkhovazhye

The Governor of the Vologda region Georgy Filimonov announced the beginning of construction in the village of Verkhovazhye. There will be a medical corps of CRB. Project documentation was developed, construction permit was obtained. The equipment is already entering the facility.

It is planned to start work at the expense of the regional budget this year. In the next, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Health of Russia, federal funding will be received under the program of modernization of primary health care. The construction must be completed by the end of 2028.

The head of the region stressed that a new building is urgently needed. The divisions of the CRB are scattered in different parts of the village, some are located in wooden buildings, some are more than 120 years old, and the wear of individual buildings has reached 100%.

The new building is designed for 66 beds and will have an area of more than 6.2 thousand square meters. The building has three floors, where the reception and diagnostic department, surgery with a modern operating unit, physiotherapy, sterilization and disinfection departments, medical waste disinfection unit, office and household premises will be located.

Verkhovazhskaya CRB is one of the strongest in the region. Employed 225 people, including 28 doctors and 103 middle-level specialists, there are no vacancies. 21 students and 5 residents study in target areas. At the end of last year, the hospital was recognized as the best healthcare institution in the region with a population of up to 50 thousand people. The hospital received a governor’s diploma and a prize of 5 million rubles.
