Stavropol State Agrarian University and Rostselmash are considering a transition to a new model of cooperation: the university will be able to act not only as a developer of engineering solutions, but also as a supplier of components. This was reported in the press service of StGAU.
Prospects for production cooperation were discussed during the visit of the Rostselmash delegation headed by General Director Alexander Vinogradov. Negotiations were held by the rector of the university Vladimir Sitnikov.
We are talking about the manufacture of parts and components for agricultural machines on the basis of STSAU using industrial 3D printing and high-precision metalworking. The next step is to assess the production capabilities of the university for compliance with the standards of Rostselmash suppliers.
This format will allow using the university infrastructure in the production chain of the enterprise, ensuring the transition from development to production of demanded products.
The University and Rostselmash already have experience working together. At the Agrosalon-2026 exhibition, the parties signed an agreement on the development of a new generation wide-scale sowing complex. At the current meeting, agreements were confirmed on the continuation of the project.
Representatives of the company got acquainted with the research and production infrastructure of the university, equipment and digital technologies.
We are consistently forming a scientific and technological base capable of solving key tasks of the real sector of the economy. Today we are considering the possibility of direct participation in the production chain of the enterprise. This is a qualitatively new level of partnership, said Rector Vladimir Sitnikov.
Following the meeting, the parties identified further areas: production cooperation, joint design projects, dual training, the participation of company specialists in educational programs, the practice of students at enterprises and the exchange of experience in digitalization.
The implementation of the plans will allow SSAU to expand participation in the creation of domestic agricultural machinery and strengthen the link between science, engineering education and production.
