The meeting with the management of the territorial defense bodies of the capital took place on September 18 in the residential area of Sosny, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports. The event was attended by representatives of the Minsk City Executive Committee, heads of administrations and military commissars of districts, law enforcement agencies, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

As Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Alexander Chernikov noted, the event was organized in order to increase the level of preparation of officials for the formation of territorial troops, as well as readiness for the deployment and conduct of territorial defense. In the course of practical exercises, issues of combat operations, countering unmanned aerial vehicles, combating sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy are being worked out.

- To date, the territorial troops are equipped with everything necessary, including modern equipment and weapons, Chernikov said. Military service, who are called up for training, previously served in the army. Many have officer ranks. All of them are ready, if necessary, to stand up for their home, their city, their country.

As previously reported, fees with military reserve are held in the Zavodsk district from 1 to 25 September. They involve more than 200 people aged 35 to 50 years.
