Construction of rental housing for forestry workers in Belarus will increase

In Belarus, the construction of rental housing for forestry workers will increase. This was told by the Minister of forestry Sergey Uldinovich, writes BelTA.

Almost 800 people in the industry have the status of a young specialist. For young people, rental housing is being built and provided with furniture.

- Somewhere an apartment in a district center in a modern multi-storey building, somewhere an individual wooden residential building in an agro-town with a developed infrastructure. For people, solving the housing problem is one of the main tasks. Having an apartment or a house from a forestry farm, as well as the opportunity to subsequently obtain these square meters in the property, a specialist will value his workplace and responsibly approach the performance of professional duties. This is our goal, the minister noted.

He added that more rental housing will be built. Each forestry farm is tasked with introducing at least two residential premises every year. In the industry, this is already about 200 apartments and houses annually.

- This will further increase the attractiveness of the industry among young people. Of course, there are other support measures, including financial ones, that we provide to young specialists, Uldinovich said.
