The court ordered the mayor of Dmitriev to repair the water supply with 90% wear

The Dmitrievsky district court of the Kursk region sided with the prosecutor’s office, satisfying the administrative claim about the inaction of the local authorities. Now the administration of the city of Dmitriev is obliged to overhaul the central water supply.

The district prosecutor's office revealed gross violations of legislation in the field of water supply. The inspection showed that on Pushkin Street, a section of the central water pipeline with a length of 135 meters is operated, which provides cold water to the local population. At the same time, the state of the object is recognized as critical - the wear of networks reaches 90%.

The situation was complicated by a series of accidents - from early March to mid-May 2026, municipal accidents regularly occurred at this site. As a result, 19 residential buildings, in which 42 people live, remained without water supply, the press service of the courts of the Kursk region said.

It turned out that the administration of the city of Dmitriev for a long time ignored the need for major repairs, despite the requirements of federal laws. The prosecutor’s submission to the head of the municipality on the elimination of violations also went unanswered.

The court found illegal the inaction of the administration of the Ministry of Defense “Dmitriev City” and ruled to eliminate violations. According to the decision, the overhaul of the emergency section of the water pipeline should be completed no later than December 31, 2027.

At the moment, the judicial act has not yet entered into legal force.
