The court of St. Petersburg estimated the life of elk at 80 thousand and recovered them from the culprit of the accident

The Moscow district court considered the claim of the Committee for the protection, control and regulation of the use of wildlife of the Leningrad region against a man. The Committee wants to recover from him damage caused to hunting resources of the Russian Federation. This is reported by the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.

On June 2, 2024, at night on the 56th kilometer of the St. Petersburg – Creek highway, a man drove a Howo T5G car and hit an elk – the animal died on the spot from his injuries. The death of a forest resident from a collision with a car is confirmed by the act on the destruction of objects of the animal world and products obtained from them on June 3 of the same year.

The amount of damage caused to the world from the death of elk, estimated at 80 thousand rubles. The defendant did not appear in court.
