The court in Ivanovo defended the rights of a disabled person to receive free medicines

October district court Ivanova sided with a 27-year-old resident of the regional center in a dispute with the Department of health.

Due to the lack of preferential drugs in pharmacies, the woman was forced to buy them herself, spending personal savings.

The court recognized the actions of the department as illegal and ordered officials to perform 3 actions. In particular, immediately give the patient the necessary drug (the decision is subject to immediate execution), provide her with medicines in the future and pay compensation for losses and moral damage.

The Department's representative did not appear in court. The decision can be appealed.
