The court in Kursk refused a resident of the house in compensation for leaking pipe

A resident of a house on Friendship Avenue in Kursk appealed to the Leninsky District Court. She found damage to the cold water pipe in her apartment and called the management company. A UK officer put in a temporary clutch to stop the leak.

However, the pipe was never replaced - five months after the application. The woman repaired the damage herself and spent on repairs. She asked to recover 25 thousand rubles of compensation for moral damage and a fine of 50% of the amount recovered, citing moral suffering.

In court it turned out that the pipe breakthrough occurred in the area of responsibility of the owner. The representative of the defendant did not deny: the application was accepted, but there is a queue for paid services.

The court found no unlawful actions on the part of the management company and dismissed the claim. The woman filed an appeal. The results of the consideration in the higher court will be reported additionally.
