From fraudsters suffered a couple from the village of Maina. They cheated 175 thousand rubles.

“A man got a call last weekend. Unknown introduced himself as a specialist of the mobile operator and said that it is necessary to extend the contract for communication services. As soon as he reported the code from the SMS, he got a call in the messenger, the regional interior Ministry said.

During the video call, an unknown woman reported that the code the man called scammers. And those on his behalf have already issued a very large loan from the bank and are currently trying to withdraw money.

Hearing this, the wife of a resident of Main joined the call. She was also told that her personal savings were at risk.

A fraudster convinced a 55-year-old woman to turn on screen demos and log into her banking app. Thus, the swindler gained full control and ... easily withdrew 175 thousand rubles from the account.

The couple also received notifications from different banks that applications for loans totaling more than four million rubles were issued on their behalf. They rejected all applications and rushed to the police. A criminal case has been opened.
