The couple of Khodunov from Galich celebrated a rare “iron” wedding

In the Galich department of the registry office honored the anniversary of family life. Mikhail Mikhailovich and Henrietta Ivanovna Khodunov celebrated the 65th anniversary of marriage, which is popularly called the “iron” wedding.

Their story began in 1961, when they, as young people, went to the city Youth Day. After 65 years, in 2026, the couple again came to the registry office to witness the fortress of their union.

According to relatives, the secret of the longevity of their marriage lies in the difference of characters that perfectly converged: open and cheerful Henrietta Ivanovna became an inspiration for her husband, and economic and serious Mikhail Mikhailovich, who loves fishing and home peace, has always been a reliable support for her.

In honor of the significant date, the anniversary was presented with a congratulatory address of the Governor of the Kostroma region Sitnikov.
