In Japan, a case was opened against a man who did not report the death of his father and left the body in the house. This is according to the Tokyo Reporter.

Suspect Seiji Ogawa lived with an elderly man. According to the investigation, the father died around the beginning of September 2026. However, Ogawa did not notify authorities and continued to live in the house with the body.

On the morning of October 4, the man called the emergency service. He said his father showed no signs of life. The police found the body on the sofa in the living room.
