"Dazhynki-2026" in the Minsk region: heroes, innovations, records and a solid holiday mood

To the regional festival-fair of workers of the village of Minsk region "Dazhynki-2026" ancient Dzerzhinsk was transformed. The central square has expanded by almost half. The city square and the Central Children's Park have been completely reconstructed and combined. Dozens of residential buildings and social infrastructure facilities have been repaired. During the holiday there were exhibitions, fairs of folk crafts and master classes. Only the trading zone, in which 120 objects, occupied 1.5 kilometers. The renovated city stadium and the sculptural composition “Her name is a woman” were officially opened. And most importantly, the holiday honored people of labor, whose efforts collected a good harvest.

Heads of farms - winners of the annual regional competition for achieving high performance in the harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in 2026 with a sown area of up to three thousand hectares: Director of JSC "Gastellovsky" Minsk district Stanislav Sokolovsky (2nd place), Director of the branch "Ostroshitsky Gorodok" OJSC "Agrocombinat "Dzerzhinsky" Minsk district Alexander Yurgevychevich (1st place), Acting Director of the branch "Pyatigorye" OJSC "Agrocombinat" Dzerzhinsky district (3rdzhinsky).

Our President 30 years ago decided to honor the villagers at large-scale holidays. Over these decades, many cities and towns where the festival took place received huge investments in improvement, the press secretary of the President of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Eismont said during the holiday:

- So our almost 900-year-old Dzerzhinsk today welcomes guests so equipped and so updated. It became the capital of the Minsk region for one day. And over these three decades, we have learned thousands of names of the real heroes of our time - the villagers who feed the country, earn currency for it and set Olympic records for hammering. And you know that your hard and noble work is always supported and appreciated by the President. Minshchina is one of those areas that is always in sight, said Natalia Eismont:

- No matter what region the President travels to, the path always lies through the central region. He is also a resident of the Minsk region. That is why all your fields are always in his sight. They often become an example to others. The President called the Minsk region a strategic region. This is a special attitude, but also a huge responsibility.

There are two most difficult professions in the world: parents who raise children, and peasants who grow bread, said Alexander Kosinets, Deputy Chairman of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly.

- For all the suffering, I had the opportunity to visit each of the 22 districts of the Minsk region, he said. High organization on the part of the regional executive committee, the adoption of relevant decisions, the work of district executive committees and heads of agricultural organizations, the work of mechanics, harvesters and their assistants, operators of drying complexes, drivers, as well as those who helped in the harvesting, played a very important role. You love your land, and the land has returned a beautiful harvest.

Alexander Kosinets presented to the Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexei Kushnarenko the Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Belarus and a certificate for 900 thousand rubles. As a gift from the Head of State, new tractors were received by Nesvizhsky district and OJSC Kozlovici-Agro of Slutsk district.

- We are proud of our caravan of almost 2.5 million tons of grain, a record yield of grain and rapeseed. Such high-profile victories are based on work on the ground, said Alexei Kushnarenko, Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

Half of the districts of the Minsk region overcame the milestone of 100 thousand tons of grain, and Slutsky and Kopylsky – 200 thousand tons. 1020 crews threshed more than 1 thousand tons, 242 - more than 2 thousand, 44 - more than 3 thousand, 10 - more than 4 thousand and 1 - more than 6 thousand tons. 723 drivers of the central region transported more than 1 thousand tons of grain, 181 - more than 2 thousand, 74 - more than 3 thousand, 11 - more than 4 thousand, 6 - more than 5 thousand, 2 - more than 6 thousand tons.

- In the Year of the Belarusian woman, representatives of the fair sex also distinguished themselves, the chairman of the regional executive committee continued. — Tatiana Pechurko from the agricultural enterprise “Treevnoye” of the Stolbtsov district and Marina Penyaz from the agricultural enterprise “Veseysky Pokrov” of the Slutsk district this year first sat on “women’s combine harvesters” and showed decent results, becoming one of the thousandth harvesters.

Alexei Kushnarenko said that the goal is not to lose the invaluable experience of the older generation and carefully pass it on to young people. Therefore, in the region, a club of advanced combiners "Golden Spill", and with it - a youth club "Kolosok", where children will be able to get skills from firsthand.

- You create with your own hands the main product for Belarusians – bread. This is the foundation of well-being and food security. Behind the high results - a huge support from the head of state. This was achieved thanks to your professionalism, hard work, discipline and technology, as well as close cooperation with organizations of various related industries, which together allowed to ensure a significant increase in the level of mechanization and efficiency of the agricultural complex.

Workers of the Minsk region ensured leadership among the regions of the republic and proved their professional suitability again, said the Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly on regional policy and local self-government Leonid Zayats:

- You are a leader in everything, occupying the first place in terms of the development of public livestock, making a significant contribution to the export potential of our country. And today the best of the best workers of the Minsk region gathered here. Today you need to say the warmest words for work, feat, heroism.

Leonid Zayats said that at the beginning of the formation of the republic there were great difficulties:

- In 1994, we had a very difficult time in our lives. We threshed less than five million tons of bread and experienced a colossal shortage of food. We bought them abroad to survive. After 30 years, we went from deficit to surplus. We have a rich table and successfully sell products outside our country. This would be unthinkable without the support of the President, without the unity of our people, without the hard work of Belarusians.

Leonid Zayats read out the greetings of the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalia Kochanova to the participants of the holiday.

Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly on Agrarian Policy Ivan Markevich noted the contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Minsk region of former chairmen of the regional executive committees and all labor veterans.

- Today, young people continue their work, he said. The soul rejoices when you see how many young combine harvesters, specialists and managers were honored at the holiday. Their results are to be proud.

Ivan Markevich conveyed greetings to the participants of the holiday of the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Igor Sergeenko.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Natalia Shevtsova expressed gratitude to the villagers for their choice to serve their native land, for professionalism, endurance, ability to work in all weather conditions and get the necessary result.

- Participating in international forums, I can proudly talk about the achievements of our agriculture, about our place in the world food market.

Congratulations to the participants of the holiday were also addressed by Minister of Industry Andrei Kuznetsov, Minister of Forestry Sergey Uldinovich, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus Yuri Senko.

According to the results of the annual regional competition for achieving high performance in the harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in 2026, the Minsk district took the first place, the second and third - Nesvizh and Slutsky.

- We threshed more than 190,000 tons of rapeseed grain. The yield of spikes increased by last year by 1.7 centners per hectare, rapeseed - by 12 centners. But most importantly, this result was not due to weather factors, but was the result of constant systematic work to increase returns from the land.

The winner of the competition among farms with a sown area of more than 3 thousand hectares was the SUE Znamensky-Agro of the Slutsk district. Here from each hectare collected 84.1 centner of grain and 58.9 — rapeseed.

Sergei Tseyko. “The basis of success is good resource availability and adherence to technology,” said Director Sergey Tseyko. At least 70 percent of seeds are elite and super-elite, in addition to full doses of mineral fertilizers, we use macro- and microelements. We don't plant spring grains. Only winter. They always produce higher yields.

The best combiner in the regional competition was the mechanizer of the Minsk branch of OJSC Agrocombinat Dzerzhinsky Alexander Shinkevich. On the combine, which is 21 years old, he threshed 4,780 tons, 500 tons more than in the best previous years.

On the transportation of grain from harvesters, the best was the driver of OJSC "Agrofirm" Archers of Slutsk district Anatoly Shpakovsky, on whose account more than 3 thousand tons of grain. Yes, there are many drivers who have this figure much higher. But Anatoly Shpakovsky worked on a GAZ-53 machine with a carrying capacity of only 4 tons.
