Taxi fleets of the Russian Federation have compiled a list of the most reliable cars: withstand years of work

Head of Taximania Georgy Balashov singled out Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris. According to him, cars of 2017-2018 are still used in taxis, including in the regions. These models have proven themselves due to reliability and relatively predictable maintenance and repair costs.

With this assessment agreed the head of the taxi Park “Snow” Adilet Kydyraliev. In addition to the Kia Rio, he included the Volkswagen Polo in the list, noting the potential of these cars for long-term operation.

The head of the taxi fleet F1rst Dmitry Nazarov also said that his company continues to use Kia Rio, Hyundai Solaris and Skoda Octavia 2019-2020 years of release. However, with age, machines require more frequent maintenance. In particular, the Skoda Octavia one of the characteristic problems is the failure of the steering racks.

Separately, representatives of the industry assessed the resource of premium cars. According to Andrey Shepet, head of the Pod Sadov taxi fleet, separate models of BMW and Mercedes-Benz are able to travel up to 700,000 km without engine repair. Comparable mileage can theoretically withstand the transmission, but the chassis during this time will require significant investments.

For cars of the mass segment, the mileage of about 400 thousand km is considered a common indicator. However, after reaching this mark, owners usually have to prepare for the serious costs of repair and maintenance.
