On Monday, September 21, the final stage of the republican competition of professional skills “Teacher of the Year of the Republic of Belarus” began in Minsk. For almost two weeks, the best teachers of the country will demonstrate their skills and compete for the honorary title. This year, two new categories were added to the traditional nominations – from elementary classes to exact sciences and arts – “Young Teacher” and “Young Director”. The name of the absolute winner will be announced on October 2 on the main stage of the Palace of the Republic.

-Like! A teacher is a profession that involves great responsibility and daily work. Such competitions help to see talented teachers, and teachers, in turn, can share their experiences and feel that their work is really appreciated. I would like to wish the participants confidence, new ideas and deserved victory.

A single security day will be held today, September 24. The authorities, together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Belarusian Red Cross, organize training grounds in places of mass stay of people. The main goal is to remind citizens how to act in case of fire and other emergency situations and how to provide first aid.

-Like! This is an incredibly important and necessary initiative. In a stressful situation, it is easy to get lost, so the ability to quickly assess the situation, properly evacuate and provide first aid can save lives. It is great that rescuers and doctors conduct such actions to remind the safety rules in a simple and accessible form.

In the National Children's Educational and Wellness Center "Zubrenok" there is a shift for pupils of cadet schools, specialized lyceums and classes of cadet profile of general education schools of the Union State. For three weeks, the children will play sports, participate in creative and patriotic competitions, competitions and excursions. On Tuesday, Deputy Chairman of the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia on Science and Education Mikhail Mironchik visited the children.

-Like! I was in Zubrenka once too, so this news brought me fond memories. I am a bit jealous of the guys who are there. Such changes are remembered for life, because they help to become more independent, find friends and try yourself in different directions. I am sure that the Cadets will spend these three weeks in an interesting and useful way.

Mogilev is preparing to become the center of world animation: from September 30 to October 2, the XXIX International Animated Film Festival “Animaevka-2026” will be held here. This year it was joined by participants from 11 new countries, including Kenya, Palestine, Congo and Gabon. The works of the contestants will be evaluated by an international jury, for the first time a prize in the nomination “Best Animator” will be awarded. Guests are also waiting for creative meetings and master classes.

-Like! It seems to me that animation is often undeservedly perceived only as entertainment for children. In fact, it is a special language that allows you to talk about important and complex things easily, figuratively and emotionally. Behind a short cartoon can be months of work, the talent of the whole team and a deep idea. I will be following the news to find out the winners.
