Tambov farmers celebrate a professional holiday

On October 11, workers of agriculture and processing industry are honored in Russia. For the Tambov region, this day is especially significant: the region is traditionally among the leaders of the Central Federal District and the whole country in the production of grain, soybeans, flour, sugar, vegetable oil and meat products.

The local agro-industrial complex not only ensures food security of the country, but also forms recognizable brands - Tambov ham, Michurin apples, Tambov potatoes and honey are known far beyond the region. This result is the merit of farmers, gardeners and livestock breeders, whose work the regional authorities support through the creation of comfortable conditions for business and the implementation of investment projects.

The cleaning campaign of 2026 is coming to an end with significant results. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, grains were threshed from 85% of the area, more than 4 million tons were harvested. Also received more than 3 million tons of sugar beet, 600 thousand tons of sunflower and 450 thousand tons of soybeans. More than 350 hectares of winter crops have already been sown for the harvest of 2027.

The head of the region Yevgeny Pervyshov thanked the industry workers for their dedication and noted that high results are achieved, including thanks to the support of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture - the region receives about 2 billion rubles for the development of the agro-industrial complex annually. He wished the farmers health, prosperity and new success for the benefit of the Tambov region and the whole of Russia.
