Hasan killed 13 fellow soldiers in 2009. The execution is scheduled for December 3.

Earlier, Pentagon chief Pete Hegset said that the shooting was going to be broadcast live. Trump confirmed that he personally approved the broadcast.

No other details are provided. According to the American media, the decision caused a public outcry.
