The district has entered the digital weather network of Belarus: the facility was built according to the state program for areas where permanent meteorological observations were not previously conducted. The station operates autonomously, without human intervention, 24/7. Every minute it takes accurate readings of air and soil temperature, humidity, wind speed, rainfall. Data is instantly transmitted to weather forecasters and rescuers.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Bykhov District Executive Committee Alexander Kiselev, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Vyacheslav Sidorenko, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Alexander Saxonov, Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Andrei Sidoruk, Head of the Mogilevobblehydromet Branch Nikolai Kostusev.
The most inspired participants of the event were children from the environmental class. For them, the ceremony turned into an interactive lesson: the children were the first to see how digital sensors work.
The new station will make it possible to more accurately predict dangerous weather phenomena, and rescuers and farmers of the district will respond more quickly to the vagaries of nature. Forecasts for the Bykhov district will be as local and accurate as possible.
