Residents of the Tula region told about their favorite hobbies and about what part of the family budget are ready to spend on hobbies. The study among working residents of the region and the Central Federal District was conducted by hh.ru analysts.

The most popular destination was sports and various types of physical activity. Fitness, running and team sports were chosen by 28% of the study participants. In second place were travel and travel blogging, which called their main hobby 22% of respondents.

Another 18% of participants chose needlework and DIY, as well as gardening, gardening and indoor plant care.

Among the most popular hobbies also included cooking and confectionery, visual arts, gaming and e-sports, writing and literature.

At the same time, the interests of men and women differ markedly in certain areas. The sport was almost equally popular among both sexes: 27% of women and 31% of men chose it.

Travel is more often called a hobby of women: this option was chosen by 25% of participants against 20% of men. Gaming and eSports are much more popular among men: 26% versus 10% among women.

Women are also more likely to choose visual arts, writing and literature, cooking, gardening and plant care. Among men's hobbies, fishing and hunting, auto and motorsport, modeling and design are more common.

In general, the list of hobbies of working residents of the Tula region and the Central Federal District is as follows: sports and activity - 28%, travel and travel blogging - 22%, needlework and DIY - 18%, gardening and houseplants - 18%, cooking and confectionery - 17%, visual arts - 16%, gaming and eSports - 14%, writing and literature - 14%.

Music and photography or video shooting were named their main hobby by 8% of respondents. The same goes for motorsport and motorsport. Fishing and hunting were chosen by 7%, collecting and dancing by 6%. Another 6% of participants are interested in yoga, Pilates and Eastern practices. Modeling and construction are preferred by 4% and board games by 3%.

Separately, analysts hh.ru found out how much money residents are willing to spend on their hobbies. The majority of working residents of the Tula region and the Central Federal District - 75% - are in the amount of up to 7 thousand rubles per month.

At the same time, 20% of respondents spend less than a thousand rubles per month on a hobby. Another 28% allocate from 1 to 3 thousand rubles. For 11%, hobbies costs range from 7 to 15 thousand rubles a month, and 14% are ready to spend more than 15 thousand rubles.

The amount of expenses varies significantly depending on age. Most often spend more than 15 thousand rubles a month on hobbies ready people aged 25 to 34 years and from 45 to 54 years — 15% of respondents in each group.

The least such expenses are typical for young people from 18 to 24 years. More than 15 thousand rubles for hobbies are ready to allocate 7% of representatives of this age group.

For young residents under 25 years, the most common was the budget from 1 to 3 thousand rubles per month. This option was chosen by 32% of respondents. Among residents over 55 years of age, expenses of less than a thousand rubles a month are most often found - 27% of the study participants gave this answer.

Thus, for residents of the Tula region, hobbies remain not only a way to spend their free time, but also a separate item of monthly expenses. At the same time, preferences and willingness to spend money on hobbies change significantly depending on age and gender.

Earlier, MK in Tula reported that 53% of Tula people consider humor to be an assistant in their careers. 22% answered negatively, the rest were confused.
