Tourist flow in Karachay-Cherkessia increased by 20.8%

The resorts of Karachay-Cherkessia in May-September 2026 received 934 thousand tourists - 161 thousand more than a year earlier. The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic reported that the growth of tourist traffic by the same period of 2025 amounted to 20.8%.

In the first nine months, the region was visited by more than 2 million 315 thousand people, which is 11% more than in the same period last year. According to the forecast of the Ministry, by the end of the year the tourist flow will exceed 2.5 million people.

The main stream forms all-season tourist and recreational complexes. Tourists are increasingly combining holidays in the main resorts with natural, cultural, cognitive and gastronomic routes.

Most guests come from neighboring regions - Stavropol and Krasnodar regions, Rostov region. Also, the resorts are visited by residents of Moscow and the Moscow region, Kabardino-Balkaria, Dagestan, Chechnya, St. Petersburg and the Volgograd region. The average length of stay is three days.

Earlier it was reported that Karachay-Cherkessia plans to increase the tourist flow to 4 million people by 2030.
