Tver athletes pleased fans with a variety of awards

In our traditional section about sports, we will tell about the latest most significant victories of Tver athletes in the coming autumn. Today I would like to pay attention not only to the disciplines where our athletes usually find themselves in the leaders, but also to those where luck does not smile so often. And this only suggests that in any sport with a fervent desire you can become a champion without changing the Tver residence permit.

Silver for Xenia and Sada

In Moscow ended the championship of Russia in canine sports-2026. In the discipline "Agility-all-around" category mini Ksenia Mosin and her Shelti Seda, representing the Tver region, won "silver". Considering that 71 pairs of the strongest athletes from different regions competed for medals, this is an outstanding result for the Federation of Sports with Dogs of the Tver region.

Agility is a canine sport in which a dog with a guide overcomes an obstacle course in minimal time and with minimal errors. In short, a real marathon of testing. This is the result of thousands of hours of training, where the main thing is trust and the ability to understand each other.

Behind Ksenia Mosina - more than 12 years in agility, the title of candidate for master of sports, the standard of master of sports, victories and prizes at tournaments of different levels. And now the status of vice-champion of Russia and member of the national team. At the same time, she is a successful specialist in a large bank, the wife and mother of her four-year-old son Nikolai. There are two other dogs at home, Sed and Erby.

According to the medalist herself, patience and attentiveness are always important for preparing for serious competitions, and most importantly - do not be afraid of anything, doing your favorite sport, and then luck will be on your side.

Roller and motorcycle

If someone thinks that as long as there is no snow, skiers rest, then they are deeply mistaken. From 9 to 13 September in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was the final of the Cup of Russia on ski rollers. The 60 strongest riders of the country came to the start, for whom every second at the distance is worth their weight in gold.

On the second day of the competition, our countryman master of sports Anastasia Guntareva from the Bologov district rose to the highest step of the pedestal. The skier distinguished herself in the 16 km freestyle race, showing a brilliant result - 32 minutes 5.6 seconds.

At the finish, Anastasia confidently left behind serious rivals, demonstrating not only skillful tactical struggle, but also the ability to gather at the right moment. Guntareva gave the maximum on the decisive kilometers. For the athlete, this is the first medal of the national standard in the last two years. We add that on September 12 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the treasury of the Tver region team was replenished with the second award of the national sample. In the 200-meter sprint, the bronze medal was won by 25-year-old master of sports Maria Popova.

And Vladislav Lukashin from the Tver region became the winner of the Russian Cup in motojimhan in Krasnodar. By the way, this happened for the first time in the history of sports of the Tver region, gold in such a tournament and sports discipline. For those who do not know, motojimhana is a type of motorsport in which participants compete for a time in the fastest and most accurate maneuver on an asphalt area among artificial obstacles from cones.

It is symbolic that Lukashin issued the championship title ahead of schedule - one stage before the completion of the men's Cup of Russia. This happened in the fifth stage of the competition, where he was no longer equal. In addition, athletes had to compete on a concrete surface limited by curbs, where the slightest mistake could lead to a fine or a loss of time. In a word, I had to try and show class driving.

Football

Women's football is also difficult to attribute to the mass sport, but it is becoming more popular every day and is gaining its place in the sun. Well, how can you not recall the film “Nefootball”, where women prove that they can win on the field in a beautiful fight.

We have a little sensation in the region. Girls from a rural school beat city teams at the championship of the Tver region in mini-football. The heroes of the regional competitions were football players of the Malovasilev SOS of the Kimr municipal district. Juniors did not even leave a chance to their rivals.

The mini-football competitions themselves were held in Ostashkov on the artificial lawn of the city stadium among girls in three age groups. Four teams competed for awards among girls under 13 years old (2014-2015 years of birth). The competition of the local “Seligerochka” was made by the Tver SHORE, “Volochanka” from Vyshny Volochka and “Phoenix” from the Malovasilev SOS of the Kimr municipal district.

First place, defeating all, took the team “Phoenix”. In the course of the round tournament, young football players beat the Tver SHORE (3: 0), Seligerochka (3: 0) and Volochanka (2: 1). The girls in the village had good training. I would especially like to note the game of goalkeeper Christina Koroleva. Imagine, for the entire tournament, she conceded only one goal, although her opponents regularly created scoring moments. It is no coincidence that at the award ceremony she was recognized as the best player of the championship in 2026. And this is a fair reward for composure and reliability.

Cycling queen

23-year-old Elizaveta Stragulina distinguished herself at the Russian Championship in cycling on the highway among amateurs, held in Moscow. This happened at the Krylat Hills Olympic circuit, where she showed the best time in the group race among women - both in her age category (18-34 years) and in the absolute standings. And she became a national champion!

If you remember, the race was rich and spectacular. It was necessary to overcome six circles of a large ring, which is 75 kilometers. The track was exhausting with its protracted climbs, so throughout the race it was necessary to be especially attentive to the technique and power capabilities of their rivals. You'll miss another jump and you won't catch up.

If the first round was relatively calm, then at the beginning of the second one of the rivals Anastasia Loktionova went into the break on the next climb - and the leading group let her go. Elizabeth isn't. And for that, I had to do my best. But I caught up! The break was about a minute, and Stragulina closed it only towards the end of the second round. Then they together with Loktionova kept a high pace and did not let anyone get close to them. Only in the middle of the fifth round, Daria Gribova joined the leaders. This three on the sixth lap and decided the fate of the medals. Elizabeth still pressed the rivals, on the last climb before the finish she had more strength. She was the first to cross the finish line.

In social networks, the champion later wrote: “Thank you to my husband for the preparation and support, my favorite team “Mountain peaks” – for the support and faith in me ...” I am pleased with the result.”.

Elizaveta Stragulina began to play sports with her twin sister Anastasia in her native Elder. And today Elizabeth lives in St. Petersburg and plays for the local team “Mountain peaks”. By the way, sister Anastasia congratulated Elizabeth, calling her an aerodynamic genius, as she flew to the gold medal as on wings.

Raised 16 medals!

Meanwhile, the Tver rowers won 16 medals at the Goodwill Cup. The highest stage of the podium of international competitions was conquered by Ilya Pervukhin, Julia Babashinskaya, Matvey Arsenov and Vladislav Saveliev. Success in this sport is expected, but the joy does not become less.

On September 6, V international competitions in kayaking and canoeing “Good Will Cup” ended in Moscow. Four days on the rowing channel “Moscow” boiled serious passions, as more than 800 athletes from six countries contested awards in different disciplines and age categories. In addition to Russian rowers were masters from Armenia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. As a result, the sports treasury of the Tver region was replenished with 16 medals of international level: four gold, six silver and six bronze.

Of course, traditionally "gold" was expected from the honored master of sports Ilya Pervukhin. And the winner of the 2012 Olympic Games met expectations at his crown distance. Ilya won gold in a single canoe at a distance of 1000 meters, where experience and tactical flair are especially important. And this is another proof that age with a huge experience in rowing turns into a weighty argument.

Her leadership in the women’s single kayak at 500 meters was confirmed by the master of sports of international class Yulia Babashinskaya. Andrey Plitkin’s pupil beat the strongest athletes of Belarus and Russia. And this says a lot, because the competition for victory was as tight as possible. Julia has certainly confirmed her class and professionalism, proving once again that she is the best.

On the highest step of the pedestal of honor among juniors under 19 years and Vladislav Saveliev. He achieved a golden result as part of the crew of the kayak-four at a distance of 500 meters. So the youth also did not let us down, the veterans are not growing, and a decent shift has already grown. In short, 16 medals from international competitions are a result that the region can be proud of.

Canadian parquet conquered our duet

And now let’s talk about sports dances, which always go hand in hand with the world of creativity and art. The duet of Pavel Zvychayny and Polina Teleshova this autumn brought Russia the silver of the world championship. In ballroom dancing, the Latin American program consists of 5 mandatory dances. Each of them has its own unique character, musical size, rhythm and pace. And every dance from playful and daring to romantic and soulful does not leave indifferent.

Pavel Zvychayny and Polina Teleshova represented Russia at the World Championship Professional Latin in Canada. The main international tournament of the year gathered on the floor of the five-star Hilton hotel in Gatineau (Quebec) 35 strongest couples from different countries.

The competition was so strong that many still wonder how the Russian couple reached the final, however, the second step of the podium is ours and silver medals too. The Russians lost the lead only to multiple world champions Dorin Freckatan and Marina Sergeeva from the UK, who just have a phenomenal winning streak.

We add that at the world championships, Pavel Zvychayny and Polina Teleshova have not yet risen above third place, so for the Russian duo this is a serious step up. And we recall that Polina Teleshova began her sports career in her native Vyshny Volochka. It was here that she was given a ticket to professional sports and opened the whole world to her. By the way, Polina always remembers her preparations for her first tournament in her native land. Her parents went to Moscow to buy her a dress that was yellow. Now on the catwalk she is in a dazzling dress in light colors, and her success inspires impressionable fans.
