Thousands of tons of apples and pears poured into the Kaliningrad region from abroad

In the Kaliningrad region since the beginning of the year imported more than nine thousand tons of apples and pears. From January 1 to September 30, specialists of the regional Rosselkhoznadzor tested fruits from Serbia, Chile, South Africa, Turkey, Argentina and Brazil.

In the Kaliningrad region since the beginning of the year imported more than nine thousand tons of apples and pears. From January 1 to September 30, specialists of the regional Rosselkhoznadzor tested fruits from Serbia, Chile, South Africa, Turkey, Argentina and Brazil.

Most of the supplies were apples - 7.3 thousand tons, another 1.7 thousand tons were pears. Most apples were brought from Serbia - 6.9 thousand tons. Another 1.9 thousand tons of apples and pears came from South Africa and Chile.

In September alone, the agency tested 357 tons of seeds from Serbia, Chile and South Africa.
