Nostradamus has prophecies of financial collapse and deadly discoveries in 2027

There is not much time left before the onset of 2027, and some of those who want to know the future turned to the “forecasts” of Nostradamus

Nostradamus has prophecies of financial collapse and deadly discoveries in 2027

Nostradamus’ famous writings centuries ago were linked to a chilling vision of 2027, whose interpretations point to financial turmoil, devastating fires and upheaval abroad.

A French astrologer who died in 1566 left behind mysterious passages in which followers continue to look for clues about what lies ahead. Recent evidence suggests that the coming year could threaten both the natural world and the systems on which humans depend.

One ominous fragment describes a fire engulfing the horizon and leaving behind a disturbing picture.

Other texts were presented as warnings of rising debt and potentially devastating financial consequences.

Mentions of an ancient power and a strategically located city are also linked to a turning point in Iran. And along with the predicted political upheaval in France, there are grimmer claims that some long-awaited discovery could come at a cost.

However, Nostradamus never specifically named 2027 in these fragments, and their association with next year stems from modern interpretations.

These claims are contained in an analysis published by Sky HISTORY, which examined whether the astrologer's enigmatic poems could be applied to next year.

Nostradamus wrote more than 900 poems from four lines known as quatrains. His admirers credit him with foreseeing events such as the Great Fire of London, the French Revolution and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. These connections remain interpretations of his often obscure formulations, rather than proof that he accurately foresaw events.

For 2027, one theory is based on the details of the numbering of his work. Reports have suggested that verse 27, referring to different centuries, may indicate a year ending in the same two digits. Numbering itself does not determine the date, but it serves as a starting point for several of the predictions now being discussed.

One of the most disturbing is the fragment describing the movement of fire across a vast area. The text reads: "Heavenly fire from the west, and from the south, spreading to the east.".

The following is an image of “half-dead worms that have not even found roots.”.

Interpreters associate this grim picture with devastating wildfires, interpreting the mention of shattered life underground as a sign that the devastation could go beyond what people see above ground.

This passage does not mention any modern country and does not specify the date of such a disaster. But these pictures can be taken as a warning of landscapes devoid of the conditions necessary to sustain life.

A separate interpretation focuses on money, which increases the likelihood of a debt crisis, the Daily Mail notes. One fragment, translated as "gold and silver copies overpriced," was interpreted as a warning of financial turmoil, along with references to mounting debt and the destruction of financial records. Collectively, these images have spawned rumors of economic collapse, though that interpretation depends on translation.

Another prediction shifts the focus from financial instability to a potential hotspot near the Black Sea. In the 27th quatrain of Age V, Nostradamus wrote: “Through fire and arms, near the Black Sea, He will come from Persia to occupy Trebizond.”.

Persia is a historical name associated with Iran, while Trebizond is the older name for Trabzon, a city on the northeastern Black Sea coast of Turkey. These recognisable sites have prompted speculation that this passage may describe a future turning point associated with the two countries.

The mention of "fire and weapons" gives the verse a menacing connotation, but the verse does not mention the mysterious figure, nor does it explain his arrival or the location of the event in 2027.

Nostradamus' native France also figures in disturbing interpretations. The 27th quatrain of the ninth century describes a figure that will strike the "Dauphine" - the historical title given to the heir to the French throne. Contemporary scholars view the mention of the king as a symbol of a political successor, suggesting that anyone seemingly ready to take power may face an unexpected ordeal.

The final prediction concerns a discovery that could turn triumph into tragedy. One passage tells of a treasure hidden near an oak tree struck by lightning and is accompanied by an ominous warning of the fate of whoever finds it. “Not far from the oak tree in Hyenne, which was struck by lightning, hidden treasure,” – said in one of the translations.

The verse goes on to describe a fatal injury in which a person's eye is pierced by a spring. Mention of the oak tree is associated with the legendary treasure hunt on the island, where generations of seekers searched for elusive prey, writes the Daily Mail. When interpreted in this way, this passage hints that the moment of discovery can also lead to death. However, the text does not specify either the island or 2027, leaving the estimated location and time depending on modern assumptions.
