Resident of Bessonovsky district seized 257 grams of cannabis

Police officers of the Bessonovsky district received operational information that the 34-year-old local resident may be involved in drug trafficking. During the inspection, the information was confirmed.

When inspecting the house territory of the man, the police found a substance of plant origin. The find was seized and sent for examination. According to experts, the seized is a narcotic drug - hemp. The mass of the substance was about 257 grams, which refers to a large size.

The detainee gave a confession. He explained that he collected the drug-containing plant in July 2026. The man made the drug and planned to store it for personal use.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for up to 10 years.
