Grain harvesting is completed by farmers of the Voronezh region

The harvesting campaign in the Voronezh region reached the finish line: 1 million 184 thousand hectares – 83% of sown areas were processed. The average yield is kept at the level of 42 centners per hectare, the press service of the regional government reported.

While the threshing of late grains is completed - corn, millet and buckwheat - the winter planting has unfolded in the region. 225 thousand hectares have already been sown (about 30% of the plan), the work is planned to be completed by the first decade of October.

At the same time, livestock enterprises of the region form forage reserves and work out alternative logistics routes.

At the federal level, state support measures are expanding to stabilize the grain market: export duties are suspended until the end of 2026. In the future, additional steps are not excluded - subsidies for winter sowing and procurement interventions.

Recall that Voronezh farmers have already threshed almost 5 million tons of grain. The total harvesting area in the region this year is 1 million 430 thousand hectares.
