Participants of the CSTO exercises “Indestructible Brotherhood – 2026” and “Barrier-2026” are sent to Belarus
In the period from 7 to 8 October, units participating in command-staff exercises with the CSTO peacekeeping forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026” and special military exercises.

In the period from 7 to 8 October, the units participating in the command and staff exercises with the CSTO peacekeeping forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026” and special exercises with the joint formation of radiation, chemical and biological (RCB) protection and medical support of the CSTO “Barrier-2026”, regroup in Belarus. This was reported in the joint press center of the CSTO exercises, BelTA writes.

Contingents of the CSTO troops (Collective Forces) are sent from the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan to the area of the exercises in accordance with the plan. In Belarus, from October 12 to 16, the command and staff exercises “Indestructible Brotherhood – 2026” will be held, during which issues of preparation and conducting a peacekeeping operation by the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces will be worked out, and special exercises with the joint formation of the CSTO RCB protection and medical support “Barrier-2026”, within which issues of eliminating sources of biological threats in the area of responsibility of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces will be worked out.
The head of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, speaking at a briefing on the eve of the exercises, emphasized that all the activities carried out are planned, are not directed against third countries and are aimed at improving the coherence of command and control bodies and troops, as well as maintaining the readiness of forces and means to perform tasks for the purpose in the interests of ensuring collective security.
The peacekeeping contingents of the CSTO member states are specially trained military, police (police) and civilian personnel, as well as forces and means provided by the CSTO member states to the CSTO peacekeeping forces.
For each peacekeeping operation separately, based on the scope of the tasks to be solved and the specific situation in the conflict zone, the composition, structure and number of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces are determined by the decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
