Soviet and Russian actor of theater and cinema, master of dubbing Vladimir Baranov died on Saturday, October 10. The death of the artist was reported in the Ryazan theater of young spectators, where he worked since 2013. The cause of death was not disclosed.
Vladimir Baranov graduated from the Yaroslavl Theatre School, after which he worked in the local drama theater. Later he joined the Bryantsev Leningrad Theater, where he served from 1979 to 1996, and then performed at the Youth Theater on Fontanka and the experimental theater under the direction of A. A. Praudin.
The filmography of the artist includes 88 works. He starred in the films “Genius”, “Torpedo Bearers”, “Breakthrough” and “Eight Days of Hope”, as well as in the TV series “Gangster Petersburg”, “Secrets of Investigation”, “Mentov’s Wars” and “Streets of Broken Lanterns”.
Baranov also worked on the voiceover of cartoons: his voice was spoken by Winnie the Pooh in the films “Winnie and the Elephant” and “The Great Voyage of the Pooh: In Search of Christopher Robin”. In 2008, he voiced Stanley in the animated film Hunting Season 2. Colleagues from the Ryazan Theater said goodbye to the artist, expressing regret that they did not have time to thank him for everything during his lifetime.
