In October 2023, the fraudster came up with a scheme to steal money allocated by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. In his team, he brought two girls and several unidentified persons. With the help of fictitious documents, the company of St. Petersburg won the competition of the Mariinsky Theatre for the construction of an administrative and production building of the Art and Production Plant on 6 Bulavsky Street. The initial cost of the contract was 206 million rubles.
Having received an advance, the accomplices on December 28, 2023, produced forged delivery documents and transferred 95 million to the account of a third party company, after which they cashed this money. The case materials were handed over to the judge for consideration on the merits, and the meeting itself was scheduled for October 20.
