The Day of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) was held in Minsk by the Embassy of India in Belarus. This was reported in the diplomatic mission of this country, BelTA writes.

ITEC Day is celebrated annually to further strengthen ties with India in the field of education and meet the graduates of this program. This year, the event was attended by about 70 people, among whom, in addition to graduates of the program, were attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, various ministries and departments.
Ambassador of India to Belarus Ashok Kumar and Advisor to the Main Directorate of Asia, Africa and Latin America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergey Terentyev welcomed the guests of the event.
“The program not only improves the skills of Belarusian specialists in a variety of areas, but also forms a strong basis for the further development of Belarusian-Indian relations,” he said.
ITEC graduates presented colorful presentations, sharing their experience of traveling to India and studying there. They noted the efforts of the Government of India to develop the ITEC program and support the Embassy of India, as well as how the training has helped in professional development.
Since 1993, the Indian government has annually invited Belarusians in accordance with the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Program to take advanced training courses in India in various areas, including language training, management, parliamentarism, auditing, banking, education, technical and economic sciences, yoga. The implementation of the program contributes to the development of Belarusian-Indian educational ties.
