Learned the timing of the launch of the train to Minsk National Airport, the overpass to Korzhenevsky and the road to Gatovo

The project to launch a high-speed train from Minsk-Passenger to Minsk National Airport is under implementation. The work will be completed in 2028-2029. On the air of the program “Speaks and shows Minsk” on “Radio-Minsk” said the head of the administration of the Oktyabrsky district Eduard Tomilchik, reports sb.by.

As Eduard Tomilchik noted, the trains will go through the Gorodishche and the Great Stone Industrial Park. The length of the route is 41 km, the approximate travel time from the center of the capital to the airport will be about 30 minutes. The railway line will be brought directly to the airport so that passengers with luggage do not have to go far.

In addition, the head of the Oktyabrsky district administration told how transport routes will be updated in the area.

According to him, the construction of a bypass road is underway, which will connect Babushkin Street with the village of Gatovo. The first layer of asphalt is laid on almost the entire site. Earthworks are continuing. It is assumed that the road will start working until December 31, 2026. The industrial hub of Kolyadich is a large logistics center, where about 100 business entities are located. To get to the Gatovo area, heavy trucks have to make a hook. After the construction of the bypass road, logistics will improve, and the Moscow Ring Road will be unloaded.

Eduard Tomilchik also said that a project for an overpass between Korzhenevsky and Chyurlionis streets, separated by a railway, is currently being developed. The new structure will connect the October and Moscow districts and also reduce the load on the Moscow Ring Road. The project is planned to be implemented in 2027. And in 2028 it is planned to build a similar overpass between October and Lenin districts.

In addition, according to him, in the area of Serov Street, the construction of a flat interception parking for 158 seats has begun. Today, there are about 106 charging stations for electric vehicles in the area. Their number will grow, including in Sokol, Kolyadichy and Minsk National Airport.
