In 175 slices of flowers from the Netherlands found Western flower thrips

During the inspection, plants and peppers were identified with signs of damage to a quarantine object. Selected samples were transferred for research to the Kaliningrad branch of the FGBI “ARRIAH”.
In 175 slices of flowers (dolphinium, freesia, limonium) from the Netherlands and 300 kilograms of pepper from Turkey, the western flower thrips was found. Release of infected flowers and pepper is prohibited. At the choice of product owners, the flowers are aimed at destruction, and the pepper is for quarantine phytosanitary disinfection.
Earlier it was reported that in Kaliningrad banned the import of infected peaches and nectarines from Turkey.
