In Arkhangelsk this year, the Rosselkhoznadzor banned the import of three international mail with products from India. The parcels were intended for foreign students and contained chickpeas, lentils, semolina, almonds, garlic and other products.
According to the North Sea Interregional Directorate of the Rosselkhoznadzor, during this period, experts checked seven international mail in the branch of the Russian Post. In three parcels found violations of the requirements of phytosanitary control.
The volume of products in shipments exceeded the permitted five kilograms, and the necessary accompanying documents were absent. As a result, all products were returned to the senders under the control of the customs service.
The Rosselkhoznadzor reminded that the import of products of high phytosanitary risk is regulated by the legislation on plant quarantine. These products usually require a phytosanitary certificate.
For violation of the rules of import of quarantine products, administrative liability is provided for under Article 10.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
